If I had to rate the communities left on Longboat where you can still buy in under a million, Whitney Beach would be on the top of the list! Here are my top 8 reasons why.... 1) Private Beach w/community furniture. (no public access) Whitney Beach is one of the widest and most beautiful beaches on the island. 2) Boating (first come) inexpensive docks on Bishops Bayou, with a quick stroll to the famous Jewfish Key sandbar and literally out to the gulf for sunset in minutes. You are also a very quick ride to dock up to some of the islands most popular restaurants. 3) Dog lovers look no further (cat lovers too) as Whitney beach allows up to 2 large dogs (verify community rules). 4) Positioned perfectly on the island to be able to walk to so many shops and dining establishments as well as a liquor store, fitness center, a local bar with pool, a morning speciality cafe and breakfast out back at a bistro table overlooking the Bayou. 5) The layout of the community is on expansive land, (no hotel or high-rise feeling here), it feels more like a Polynesian resort with the amazing landscape. 6) COMMUNITY!!!! Whitney Beach Bay Side has an amazing team of owners that put together some really fun events and ways to meet and say hello to your neighbors and if that wasn't enough there is quite the fun group that plays pickle ball in the mornings. 7) Amenities such as the heated pools and Tiki huts at the beach near the grilling area, tennis and pickle ball as well as a kayak launch and storage. Bring over something to cook and throw it on the grill and sit at the table in the tiki hut, then end the perfect evening watching the sunset on the gorgeous beach right there for you. 8) Like to fish? We got you covered with the historical fishing hut and various places on the dock to prep your fish. By now you must be in love with the community and it is rare that a unit like this one comes available at a great price. Walk in and do nothing. This is a second floor unit (only 2 floors in the building) with expansive views of both the pool and the Bayou. The A/C unit is new as is the flooring and sliders. The kitchen and bathrooms were renovated not too long ago as well. The current layout and floor plan was changed a bit during renovation to make everything flow better. The master has a nice office area or a place for your favorite hobby.
